The Student Pastor Search Team unanimously recommends Jeff Robinson to fill the role of Student Pastor at New Friendship Baptist Church.

Timeline of Events

• April 16: Student Pastor Search Team Recommendation of Jeff Robinson to serve as the next Student Pastor of NFBC during the morning worship gatherings.
• April 23: Q&A and Business Session hosted by the Student Pastor Search Team and the Personnel Team of NFBC at 6 pm. 
• April 30: Jeff Robinson will preach and a vote of affirmation of Jeff Robinson as the next Student Pastor of NFBC during the morning worship gatherings. (Absentee ballots will be available starting Wednesday, April 19 in the NFBC Church Office.

The Student Pastor Search Team will provide an update and make a recommendation to NFBC as to who will serve as the next Student Pastor. The update and announcement will take place on Sunday, April 16 during both morning worship gatherings (9 & 11 AM).

New Friendship Baptist Church desires to  seek a pastor of students.  

Purpose:
The Student Pastor is responsible for guiding and teaching the middle and high school students creating the next generation of leaders and disciples. Building blocks for this position include equipping disciples, advancing God’s Kingdom, effective personal relationships, and connecting with parents.

Principle Functions:
Within the congregation, the Student Pastor has a primary responsibility to shepherd the congregation to the glory of Christ and obedience to His Word. Within the student pastoral staff, the Student Pastor has a primary role to support and extend the ministry vision of the Senior Pastor within an atmosphere of servant leadership, personal godliness, Christ-honoring friendship, and ministerial excellence.  This position has special focus on 6th -12th grade students. The Student Pastor will help prepare students for both local and global mission opportunities of New Friendship Baptist Church. The Student Pastor is responsible to assist the Senior Pastor in his duties or fulfill the Senior Pastor responsibilities if he is unavailable to fulfill them himself. He should be available to assist with administrative responsibilities, student pastoral care, visitation, weddings, funerals, and fill the pulpit in the Senior Pastor’s absence, if needed.
